OOC: it goes Maelin,Phoenix,Jerek,and then Shadow
Shadow gets first attack
Maelin gets the second one
ETC
Maelin walked up the stairs. In the history in the arena this was the first two on two. Maelin smiled and thought "I just hope my team mate can keep up." he opened the door and fingered his Shurikans.

A courier of the Arena had caught up with Phoenix before he had been able to leave the city with his friend. Now he was striding up into the gated room. It saddened him to set down his more powerful weapons for the weapons he wielded in the Arena, but with the near telepathic bond he shared with his friend, and with his friend in the audience he felt strength flow into him.
Strength, wisdom, and knowledge was flowing in the bond. With this advantage how could he lose, but should things come to that he had several spells that he had yet to show anyone.

Jerek had been waiting days for this match after a messager had told him he would be participating. He had spent the past weekend honig his skills and observing his opponents. "I just hope Maelin can take some good hits" Jerek thought to himself as he stepped into the arena and heard the rush of noise.
This was the first two-on-two match that had ever taken place in the arena. Jerek swore to himself that he would make it a good one. He wore his heavy raiment and carried his twin, curved swords in his hands. The spirits of fire and ice in them cried out for the blood of his enemies. Jerek shut the voices out of his head and returned his focus to his two enemies across the arena. He looked down at his belt and made sure his potions and daggers were secure. Jerek had never fought Phoenix or Maelin, but he hoped they could hold they could put up a decent fight.
Jerek turned to look down at Maelin. "I call the big one" he said with a slight chuckle more to himself than Maelin.

The chapel bells sang out above, its joyous music sweeping through cheydinhal. The river flowed gingerly, winding its way from one end of town to another. The blend of races here flourished, as all of the 7 of them passed Shadow on his way to home. He walked stiff on the cobble stone benetah him, and white birds observed in their safe sancturary high above. He envied them, as it would be such a greatness to be able to fly in the clouds but..... this was childs dreams. He was a slayer, and killed when neccisary. He took notice in many great things, but erased them from his memory as his mind had to stay like this, clear. He pushed aside the iron gate that stood about high enough to stand with his waist. He followed the narrow, nearly faded path up to a large stone house. Flowers, there were not in his garden, barrels and much more junk littred his yard, and he had thought it high time to get a letter from the count regarding this. Which, he had thought he had assumed correctly when he saw a letter, partially tattered, nailed to his door. He plucked it off with ease, and read its contenets;
Notice to all arena combatant,
It has been requested of you to admit your presence into the duel team arena match today. You, known as shadow, as the whispers prove, are invited to come at 3:00 of this day, and partake in the glorious bloody adventures, that the great arena, the infamous dome of death, provides to all those worthy and seeking. Please come with haste.
Black Horse Courier, Ra' naveoro
Shadows eyes widened in astonishment and interest. He was not sure if such an event had ever taken place, but it sounded interesting, as it intrigued him. He stuffed the parchment into he pocket, and grabed a few provisions before he leaft. Scurrying on his Black cheydinhal horse, he galloped with speed towards the tall spire that pierced the mighty sky itself. By 2:40, he had arrived at the imperial infested streets of the imperial city, and shuved his way through the crowd, and enetering the gardens that surrounded the dome. He wathced in awe as he did many times before, as he never got use to the magnificent sight of the arena. As hastily as he had gotten he, he moved through the bloodworks, slapping on his armor quickly. Without talk, (as he never did) he promoted himself to walk up the bloody trail of the arena veins. He eneterd the small cell area, and noticed the cobatanant named "pheonix", which stood against the stone walls boredly. They did share some sort of bond, it was faint at first, but grew stronger, ever growing as they stood there. He felt like he couldn;t lose this match, and he didnt intend to...
