OOC: I took control of his character? When and in what manner?
As GrrMan felt the barbed tendrils of shock magic lance through his back, he staggered forward, enraged by his own stupidity and mildly displeased towards his opponent.
"I see you enjoy dancing through the mind's maze," remarked GrrMan. "Well, the mind is of no use when it is shattered." With that, GrrMan casted a weak dispel spell upon himself. It may have been marginal at best, but it was enough to rid himself of the mark's magical residue. As the violet X disappeared from his back, GrrMan focused on his bemused foe.
"Let's play things your way, shall we?" letting his magicka compound, GrrMan let loose an explosive (area of effect) sphere of flame at Ivremil's feet, and lunged forward to make a horizontal cut across the chest.

Ivremill smiled. Perhaps he's not like those other idiots...just perhaps
The fiery orb crashed mightily against the earthen floor. Noticing his oppenent preparing a follow up attack with his sword, Ivremill allowed the resulting explosion to fling him to a safe distance.
Summoning the last bits of his magicka, he cast a small recovery spell, only enough to repair the damage from his fall. For a moment he cursed himself, wishing he had study the art of restoration more thoroughly. With all that was left of his mana, he cast as powerful a frost spell as he could muster. The great wave of boreal energy crashed between two pillars, partially freezing the ground over wich it traveled.
Ivremill fell back weezing, preparing for the worst...
OOC: That was my last attack. You get the final move.

GrrMan was honestly surprised. He had expected his foe to shield himself from the blast of flame, yet Ivremill used it as a means of evasion, at the sacrifice of his health. Most interesting. Perhaps not brilliant, but interesting. GrrMan ran forward to relieve the old man of his rather odd life, only to find himself in the midst of a frost blast. As the frigid air snapped at his skin, he noticed the ground of the Arena had been covered with a thin layer of slippery ice. "Oh you spawn of a-" GrrMan lost his balance on the tractionless surface, slipped, and fell on his face, to the great amusement of the laughing crowd. Now sliding forward at high velocity, GrrMan collided with the prone Altmer, sending him sprawling into the iron gate with an audible thunk. With his hands still slipping on the biting ice, GrrMan carefully got to his feet, as the crowd displayed their amusement with insults and encouragement. His bleary eyes locked onto the unmoving Altmer, slumped against the gate with a slowly rising-and-falling chest...

OOC: You can choose whether your character dies or not.

These are non-lethal matches, my character can't die. And they are judged, you don't just say you win.

OOC: I see. But I didn't say I won, so... yeah. And, out-of-character, remember?

OOC:actually you did say you one. When you said "you can choose whether you character lives or dies" That is saying you thought you one.

After a match "OOC:" is pretty much implied. Not really a big deal, and BloodMoon, don't start something.

OOC: Ah, good point. Now that I think of it, whoever had the last move would of course always win. Now... where is our match-evaluator?
