This is pretty much one of the only shooters I can play for a very long time. It is a wonderful mmofps with rpg elements thrown in, and is one of the ways I prefer to spend my time.
You have several diffrent classes, and several diffrent modes of combat.
Close Quarters Combat:
My favorite and most oft played style. It has two diffrent modes, free for all, and mission mode. Once you choose a room, and start playing mission mode you quickly learn several things. A)There are two bomb sites where the tan colored team (Derban) can plant their bombs. They are marked by gray icons, and are usually put into defensable areas. As the tan team, you can either eliminate the entire OPFOR or opposing force, or make sure that that bomb detonates. As the green team you must either disarm that bomb once planted, or eliminate the OPFOR.
Be warned you only get one life per round in that mode.
The second mode in CQC is free for all. Basically the first to a certain number of kills wins. Unlimited respawns in case you are wondering. Most of the maps suck for this though, but it is still entertaining.
CQC in general is up close to medium range engagements, where a sniper will cause you problems, but aren't as large a threat as they could be. So unless you are going against me you should be fine.
Urban Ops
These are not always set in urban enviorments, but do promise the same basic premises on most counts. Snipers are a force to be reckoned with, but the addition of vehicles adds a new flavor to the battle. So, when you have a problem with a sniper, find a tank, or a humvee. Those offer complete protection, and you can quickly switch to the turret and take them out....depending on their skill...
This is all about capturing bases, and getting the enemy teams reinforcements to zero.
BattleGround
These are the larger maps, where vehicle combat is the only way. You'll often see boats, tanks, and humvees thrown in, but helicopters and jets add a deadly new set of rules. Contest them for the sky, keep them clear, or run for cover. Snipers can still be deadly, but at the longer ranges they lose some potency.

CLasses
There are several classes used in Warrock. Each offers unique advantages and disadvantages. You also must buy guns for your soldier, so many people end up specializing in one class. Because only secondary weapons are truly universal.
Engineers: Basically, they can heal vehicles. If they have premium they can also distribute ammo boxes, but thats not really something you really see. They are allowed to utilize SMG's and the shotgun, but the shotty is a premium item so...
Medics: Like the engineers but with a diffrent character model. The only crucial diffrence is the ability to hal themselves and others. A good all arounf combat character, but like the engineer they lack gernades(Oops forgot to mention that...)
Snipers: My favorite class, and a deadly one at that. FOr a main weapon they are only allowed rifles. Sniper rifles and the Styr Aug to be exact. The main downside is that they don't show the targeting reticule while using your main weapon, unless you are zoomed in. A little bit of practice, or a cheap tactic known as dotting can erase that disadvatage though. Side arms do get the targeting reticule, just so you know.
Rifles are generally two shot hits, one shot hit if its a head shot. PSG's can also one shot the chest or neck areas.
Combatant: Lovely little fighters. They get rifles (Suited to medium/long range fighting) but no sniper esque weapons. As a rule they are good choices for newbs, but can be honed to deadly edge by pros. A good all around class...
Heavy Weapons: Preferred by noobs, because those rockets look deadlier then they are. Those things only really work against vehicles because of a high reload time, and that problem gets worse because noobs flock toward the stinger missiles for sale like flies to light. They don't realize that the only effective anti infantry weapon would be the RPG, and that is one heckuva rocket. A one hit kill....I've had them fly over my head and kill me, I've had them hit the wall next to me and kill me....They've pretty much killed me by hitting far away from me...I don't like RPG's...
