He was no amateur, many ties he was threatened of his own life, but with his skills, and apparent luck, no one could do so.

The water speed like a tread mill turned on high beneath them, sailing into the horizon. The land was within sight now, and already the comm channels were packed with radio activity. The shoreline was dotted with major cities, and minor, family-owned villages.
"We just entered Yuria." announced Kyle over the comm. The only reason Marcus could tell who t was is because the blip above Kyle's F-18 flashed when he talked, this was the same result for everyone else. The shoreline erupted into a mass of fire, as the navy guns pounded them from their safe positions far out at sea.
"Alright, this is our mission. We are to protect the gunships at all cost." A blip on Marcus's radar appeared, indication that a C130 Gunship had entered the war zone. "They, are going to head over to the Yurian plantations. We, as our escorts, are going to protect them of any rogues from the main fight, as I have said before." Marcus was somewhat disappointed that he could not join his brothers and arms fighting over the mainland's peninsula, but he knew that the mission he was about to embark on had as much as a necessary purpose as any other mission assigned.
The beach grew closer, but it's ETA arrival time slowed down as they strangled the fuel feed so that the C130's could catch up, as they were much more nearer. The C130's were close air to ground support planes, designed to unleash hell upon those seeking to employ terrorism on us and our allies, and that, they did well.
The battle draws yet closer! ;D

Just reread it. You still have the f-18s protecting themselves not the Slicks

Luck smiled upon the squadron as the skies in their sector was quiet and calm, except for the turbulence and downdrafts spotted in the air. The explosions from the navy's bombs came to a muffle that shook the ships slightly, to silence, which Marcus hoped was because the Amphibious craft had landed on the beach. The sky was a mess, as the blazing fires shielded the usually clearer northern sky, the black clouds making their premises black as they shunned the moons weak rays, and the occasional flaw in the blanket of clouds allowing the moon to glimpse through, lighting the sky.
"Alright, it looks good, but that doesn't give you the right to slack off, we haven't entered the radar range yet, so stay focused." Marcus announced through the comm. The C-130's were dragging on, about half a mile away, which in the sky, in these modern day jets, was the equivalent on the ground of about 30 yards.
Marcus sat back, allowing the silence to calm his once shaken nerves. He switched the vessel to auto pilot, and let the darkness take him, after he turned his comm volume all the way up so that he wouldn't sleep through any commands or warnings. He had trained himself in the Nevada air academy to be aware of the sense of taste, touch, hearing, and scent, while in this state between sleep and reality. Two hours passed like so....
"Ok, listen up." A salted, ragged voice said through the comm. "I want all ships below an altitude of 1000 feet, that way we will evade any un wanted traffic with a radar device." Their was a gap in the announcement as he took a few moments to cough, his breath in labor. Then he finally spoke, "Now I know this will not be easy for the C-130's, that's why you are going to attach a grapple hook, installed on the back of your fuselage, that extends about 600 feet, to the nose of the C-1's. Fly at a pace of about 140, anything else will be too fast for the c-'s, but too slow for you and you would stall" All of this was a review to Marcus, but he still listened, to catch any mistakes in the directions. "Alright, all airmen and seniors and up, I want YOU to operate this procedure, anyone of lower statue, you just pay attention to any comm traffic, be sure to stay low also, and turn your engines down to reduce any light or noise. Alright... There was yet another hole in the slur of directions, but then his voice grew grave and serious over the next few sentences, " You are the best in this outfit, You may be wondering why you were chosen for this unit, and some of you may even still doubt. These people that you work with right now, will become brothers and sisters in the end. So, don't let them down. Maybe in karma, trust, luck, love, hate, you may receives what you are supposed to be giving. Help those in need. Now, let's go."

Vector => Sector? Hopped => Hoped Receives => Receive? Giving => Given? Anyway, other than that, good job. Looks like something interesting may be happening soon
