I suck at poetry and I only did this for school...but I thought I might as well post it.
The Bad Guys
The soldiers, covered in armor and carrying spears at their side, trudged forward
They were marching to war
To meet the enemy
The bad guys
The lost
Men without God
The warriors, covered in war paint and carrying axes and swords, trudged forward
They were marching to war
The meet the enemy
The bad guys
The conquerors
Men that took their land
The soldiers stopped as their enemy came into view
Their minds filled with hate as they saw the uncivilized people
We tried to help them
Make them better
And how are we repaid?
With blood! The warriors stopped as their enemy came into view
Their minds filled with hate as they saw the arrogant fools
We greeted them with open arms
We gave them gifts
And how are we repaid?
With blood!
A lone horseman rode to the front of the soldiers
His armor lined with a brilliant gold
He looked at his army and shouted:
“These heathens reject our god,
Spit on our beliefs.
Will we allow this?”
The soldiers let out a loud yell
No more waiting
The battle has come
They charged towards their enemies
The bad guys
An old man walked to the front of the warriors
His eyes showed years of wisdom
He looked at his army and shouted:
“These monsters force their god on us,
Try to crush our traditions.
Will we allow this?”
The warriors let out a loud war cry
No more waiting
The battle has come
They charged towards their enemies
The bad guys
