Javick sat on the windowsil, sipping Nordic mead from a large, heavily decorated goblet. He watched by the fireplace, and listened to the locals talk about the latest gossip. The Bruma guard was busy enforcing walls and making trebuchets, catapults, and watchtowers. Everybody knew something was wrong, was it not obvious, hell, most people were scared. The countess hadn't said anythng about the subject, though questioned many times by the citizens. Snow fell lightly, silently, and it was quieter now in the " Jerall View" then ever. He would know. He had been a resident in Bruma for more then 34 years.
Guards of all sorts had been arriving last night. He had made fun of guessing which city the next group of guards entering would be, he failed miserably however. Sometimes, the group wouldn't even be part of a town guard. Fighters guild and mages guild too! Arch-mage traven had arrived, on his expense of some necromancy rubbish, though he was sure the reason he was here now was more important. They damn near army had camped on the top " shelf", or in the castle court. Bruma has sections. Each is like a shelf, or step on a stairs, so thats why we referred to it as the shelves, of stairs.
The streets were cramed with soldier, and guards. Archers, swordsmen, pikemen, captains, generals, engineers, cavalry, legionaires, you name it. Its like they were preparing for war or something. Truth be told, i think the countess didn't want to know. The Black Horse Courier tried to get an interview, but were either turned down, or pushed aside by her own bodyguards. The truth would come soon, whether what was destined to happen would come first, or a the announcement of the countess.
Most people place it on the Destruction of Kvatch, destroyed by the demonic race, " daedra" from "oblivion". If it even were true, they would have a hard time with Bruma. I need to know. I have to, for the good of the people of Bruma, i will find out...
Options
A. Go to that cloud ruler temple place. A lot of activity up there recently.
B. Assassinnate a guard, wear his armor, and disguse yourself to get a full report from the captain.
C. Go to the mages guild, buy an invisibility spell, and use it to listen on to a conversation.
