Star Wars: Republic Commando
Genocide
250 days after battle of Geonosis, Planet: Coruscant
Apartment Building JG-67, Floor 99, Room C-52
"Alright lads, settle in,"
The conference room quieted down as General Rak Gerta walked in. The four Republic Commandos looked at their General behind their blank helmets.
"Buckets off, please," said Rak. The clones removed their helmets, otherwise known as "buckets" and looked Rak. Each face was young, but battle- hardened. Rak suppressed a shudder while thinking about what these boys must've seen and heard. Comrades being blown to bloody chunks. The dying screaming in pain as they tried to keep the blood from leaving their bodies.
It was enough to drive normal men to the dark, never to return. But, not these men. They were Commandos. The best of the best. They were only deployed in the most harsh or deadly of combat zones. Relying on stealth and survival instincts to complete their missions.
Ranging from assasinations to gathering intelligience for incoming armies, the Commandos hd it rough. Their training was very different from normal clones. Different weapons, armor, and training. Commandos are armed with DC-17 rifles and DC-15 sidearms. Each DC-17 comes with attachments to make it into a repeating blaster, anti-armor, and even a sniper rifle. Their Katarn armor was bigger, white like the clones' armor, but far thicker. A Commando could take a rocket from a Super Battle droid and walk away with a bruise at most.
"Good, now that I have your attention let's get down to business," Rak walked to the front end of the long durasteel table and activated a holo-map. "This is Research Facility: Beta. The scientists there were working on special rifles that would fire ion needles and render droids immobile."
Rak looked through the blue image at his squad of warriors, each face stone cold and focused on the map. "The big boys here have lost contact from Beta and need someone to investigate. That's where you guys come in," Rak smiled, his teeth stained a bright yellow from years of smoking ruak. " They believe Beta has been overun with a small droid army."
It was said that men who smoked ruak or chewed it would never be fit to fight. Rak proved that urban legend wrong.
"Ok, you will be deployed to Dantooine in five hours,"
Still the clones looked at him, not questioning what was being said. The Commandos nodded their heads in approval.
"Any questions?"
"Yeah, do we get to pick our own gear this time?" asked a cheery Commando. Joka, he was called because of his sarcasm. All clones had serial numbers, but they prefered to be called by a nickname. A remnant of Jango Fett's DNA.
"Yes you do Joka," Rak said with a grin. "Sargeant Zeus. Do you have anything to say."
Zeus got his name from the god Zeus who ruled over the other gods in ancient, long forgotten race of people. This race of people inhabited a planet that was destroyed by the Sith thousands of years before. No one knows what they were called, but from what scientists found they believed in gods and built huge monuments to worship and honor them. In his mind, he and his fellow pod brothers were gods.
"No, I'm good to go sir."
Miner, the squad's demolition expert was busy going over the stocks of explosives in their barracks back at the base. Miner loved his postition with a passion. He happily rigged explosive traps and blew wholes in doors. Gear was downloading coordinates into his data-pad from a nearby computer.Gear specilized in utilizing technology as well as dismantling it.
"I think we're ready to move General," said Zeus returnig his helmet to his head. The others grabbed their helmets and put them on.
"Farewell and good luck," said Rak as the Commandos walked out the doors. They walked in silence, or so it seemed to people they passed. Inside their helmets they were discussing the mission on their comm-link.
They went to the landing deck of the apartment building and got in their speeder. They flew back to their barracks and went straight to the equipment room.
"Hmmmmm. How do you guys wanna do this?" asked Zeus looking at his brothers. "Should we go in loud and heavy? Or scope out the place and observe any movements?"
"Maybe we should hack their computer system and utilize the cameras to take a looksee" said Gear.
A) stealthful infiltration
