Yeah, sorry. I had a very busy weekend; things should lighten up. In fact, I may be able to post tonight or tomorrow morning.

Well its OFFICIAL.... I have now read...every...EVERY story on this board. I see now why you commented on me telling Dagonda that I liked how he switched perspectives. I apologize, I don't like reading these stories, unless I can read them all at once. For some strange reason, something always seemed to occur when I would start reading this one. Finished the whole thing tonight though, and it was excellent, as I figured it would be. So when is he going to figure out that Marcus is following him? (remember I'm psychic) Great stuff so far. can't wait for more! Take your time though, I would rather wait, for a complete post, than have a quicker, flawed version, that feels rushed. Still PM me when you add more.

Marius was sitting on a bench outside the head office of the Imperial Legion. Brutus had asked to see him at the end of his shift. An audience with the captain of the guard was rarely a pleasant experience and, not wanting to make it any more painful than it had to be; Marius had rushed over at his first opportunity. Unfortunately, whatever matter Brutus wished to speak to Marius about must not have been as urgent as it had sounded. Marius had been waiting for the better part of an hour.
At last, the door swung open and Marius was allowed to enter. Brutus was sitting at his desk and did not look pleased. Standing in front of him were a man and a woman wearing green robes. The man was a Redguard and the woman a Breton. They both appeared to be fairly young, and Marius could not think of any reason why such young mages, as Marius figured they must be despite one being a Redguard, could possibly have taken so much of the captain’s time. Marius had not enjoyed waiting and finding that he had had to wait for a pair of magic users, he had never liked practitioners of the arcane arts, did not improve his mood.
Brutus glanced up and saw Marius. “Marius,” he began in a tone that did nothing to put the guard at ease, “we seem to have a problem. Artorus Varo, it seems, abandoned his post last yesterday. He came to see me the day before about going to find a man called Nestyr. Apparently, this man is an important mage and the Arch Mage fears for his safety. I am putting you, as the most senior legionnaire, in charge of the group that will find Artorus and bring him back. The Arch Mage has sent these two,” he pointed at the two people Marius had seen upon entering, “in order to ensure Nestyr’s safety.”
The Readguard stuck out his hand. “My name is Maximilian Gerrard,” he said. “My colleague is Rebecca Traven.” Having no knowledge about the magical world, Marius was unfazed by the name Traven. “It is my hope that, by working together, we will be able to resolve this issue to everyone’s satisfaction.” Marius glanced down at the hand and then back up at the mage. His eyes narrowed until he was squinting at the man. He was never trustful of mages and he had the distinct feeling that this one was hiding something from him. Marius made a mental note to keep an eye on the pair. When Marius failed to take his hand, Gerrard let both his hand and smile drop.
Sensing the brewing tension, Brutus quickly intervened. “Marius, you have one hour to find six men. I want you after Varo as soon as possible. You are dismissed.”
Marius left the building with a spring in his step. He was being given his own, albeit temporary, command. Marius found it extremely satisfied that his first task as a commander would be hunting down that self-righteous swit, Varo. Having to put up with those two mages would be annoying, but he didn’t mind so much as long as he was in charge. The first thing he needed to do was assemble his team.
