Serge heard the two heavy doors close behind him and looked briefly at the guard standing at the steps, he noticed the armor he was wearing was a brown color and had small spikes protruding from it to catch the opponent off guard or even running toward an opponent and ram into them. He also seemed very strong but not anything he couldn't handle with strategy. Serge slowly started walking forward and saw a cluster of people standing and gossiping with each other, mostly imperials, about the death of the emperor and that they wonder if the dark brotherhood had a hand in the killing of the emperor. Seeking to draw no attention he took a quick left around the corner and saw an elderly woman who was wearing a tattered dress with dirt scattered all about the dress. It seemed like the dress was supposed to be a green color, but there was much more dirt on it making it look like a brown dress overall.
"A coin and I can feed my children" she said with a desperate look on her face. Serge grimaced and said. "I have no money to give you" He knew that she most likely was not as poor as she claimed to be, the only reason she asked him for a coin was because she had not recognized him and she knew mostly everyone that came to the market district. She grabbed Serge's arm sleeve and look up at him with pleading eyes and said once again. "Only ONE coin and I can feed my children" Serge snatched his hands away from her and quickly shook his head signifying that he was not going to give her money.
Her face turned from sadness to hatred. he could see in her eyes that she felt that Serge was uppity and quickly turned on her heel and left into an alleyway. Serge looked ahead and saw a simple inn but behind that was a weapon shop, the sign had two sword, one on top, one of bottom, both tips going two different direction but layed out flat. Under the two mirror imaged swords were the word, A fighting chance. Serge walked toward the door, grabbed the handle, and went inside.
Serge saw an elderly imperial in iron chest armor with solid white hair that was tied into a small pony tail behind her head. Serge walked up to the counter and took out all the equipment that he had received as he walked through the imperial sewers fighting for his very own life and partially protecting the emperor as he willingly walked to his death. "Hmmm, I think this is worth about 180 septims" She said to Serge in a firm but slightly placid face. "Look ma'am," she interrupted him by saying her name. "Rohass" Serge paused for a moment to make sure that she was done with her interruptions and said. "Rohass this is the money I will be living off of for a while I don't have money to my name right now."
She scoffed,"That's not my problem." Rohass said bluntly. Serge turned on his pleading face and said. "Please if you don't give me more septims then I couldn't buy any of your superb quality equipment without feeling incomplete, remember the line between a dead swordsman and a living one is a sharp blade." Her face softened a bit as he said that last bit about the line of a living swordsmen, she had obviously been a hunter or something in her life so she probably heard the quote once or twice in her life. She pushed out 5 extra septims which wasn't much but for her that meant something, he didn't even try to convince her for more. He halved the septims and said. "Buy me the best sword for only 90 septims." Apparently that didn't buy him much more than a short sword at this particularly shop.
He picked up the iron short-sword and swung the blade around a few times getting used to the weight of the small blade. It wasn't particularly different than any blade but it was more bulkier at the tip of the blade than at the hand guard. Then he started walking back towards the door when he noticed all of the commerce outside had suddenly disappeared. He opened the door and took only a brief look around when he felt like someone was watching him. For a slight second he saw a shadow and that slight second gave him the position off the person watching him.
Serge looked up and saw a silver arrow with a blue coating flying right towards him, he tried to dodge the arrow but he only made the arrow him in the chest, so deathly close to his heart. He was in pain but he felt like something from inside him was draining and there was nothing he could do to stop it. When he looked back up to where the sniper was, he was gone without a trace. Apparently that one arrow was the only thing he needed to kill him. Serge tried to cast a healing spell but he found that his magic was mostly gone, he tried to move his hands into his pocket and grab a restore health potion, but couldn't.
He tried to take a step but when he did his whole world blackened and then his knee's went out and he fell unconscious on the floor.
