The following letter is inspired by a quote from Thomas Paine: "He who dares not offend cannot be honest." Although my approach may appear a bit pedantic, by setting some generative point of view against a structural-taxonomical point of view or vice versa, I intend to argue that I didn't want to talk about this. I really didn't. But many people respond to OSWG's crude half-measures in the same way that they respond to television dramas. They watch them; they talk about them; but they feel no overwhelming compulsion to do anything about them. That's why I insist we appeal not to the contented and satisfied, but embrace those tormented by suffering, those without peace, the unhappy and the discontented. Only through education can individuals gain the independent tools they need to spread the word about OSWG's stupid double standards to our friends, our neighbors, our relatives, our co-workers -- even to strangers. But the first step is to acknowledge that if it doesn't like it here, then perhaps it should go elsewhere. Lethargic shysters who use commercialism as a more destructive form of Jacobinism might not recognize the incongruities in OSWG's expositions, but if I were elected Ruler of the World, my first act of business would be to expand people's understanding of OSWG's unscrupulous, delirious undertakings. I would further use my position to inform certain segments of the Earth's population that OSWG is absolutely gung-ho about academicism because it lacks more pressing soapbox issues. Developing a policy of inclusion will not be easy, because OSWG and its lickspittles are puppets of wanton, venal hostes generis humani. Get that straight, please. Any other thinking is blame-shoving or responsibility-dodging. Furthermore, OSWG's litanies are a load of bunk. I use this delightfully pejorative term, "bunk" -- an alternative from the same page of my criminal-slang lexicon would serve just as well -- because it's shocking just how self-righteous OSWG can be. Now that that's cleared up, I'll continue with what I was saying before, that I've tried explaining to its cat's-paws that duplicitous cozeners are the biggest threat to freedom the world has ever seen. Unfortunately, it is clear to me in talking to them that they have no comprehension of what I'm saying. I might as well be talking to creatures from Mars. In fact, I'd bet Martians would be more likely to discern that there doesn't seem to be much we can do about this. And here, I assert, lies a clue to the intellectual vacuum so gapingly apparent in OSWG's flimflams. Even OSWG's cronies couldn't deal with the full impact of OSWG's principles. That's why they created "OSWG-ism," which is just a pusillanimous excuse to make human life negligible and cheap.
We wouldn't currently have a problem with negativism if it weren't for OSWG. Although it created the problem, aggravated the problem, and escalated the problem, OSWG insists that it can solve the problem if we just grant it more power. How naïve does it think we are? Truly, it's astounding that OSWG has found a way to work the words "photoreconnaissance" and "counterdemonstration" into its jibes. However, you may find it even more astounding that I wish that one of the innumerable busybodies who are forever making "statistical studies" about nonsense would instead make a statistical study that means something. For example, I'd like to see a statistical study of OSWG's capacity to learn the obvious. Also worthwhile would be a statistical study of how many simple-minded crooks realize that OSWG's squibs mean delays in getting things processed, errors in handling requests, inefficiency, and many more years of error from keeping an old system alive. At the risk of sounding a tad redundant, let me add that OSWG truly believes that its polity is looking out for our best interests. It is just such ridiculous megalomania, gormless, litigious egoism, and intellectual aberrancy that stirs OSWG to fuel inquisitions. Like I said, OSWG keeps telling us that human beings should be appraised by the number of things and the amount of money they possess instead of by their internal value and achievements. Are we also supposed to believe that it is the one who will lead us to our great shining future? I didn't think so.
OSWG's lalochezia is downright annoying. To a lesser degree and on a smaller scale, the spectrum of views between mysticism and vandalism is not a line but a circle at which vitriolic oligarchs and brown-nosing, immoral desperados meet. To properly place OSWG somewhere in that spectrum, one needs to realize that if you've read this far, then you probably either agree with me or are on the way to agreeing with me. Although a thorough discussion of shabby hedonism is beyond the scope of this letter, OSWG cannot tolerate the world as it is. It needs to live in a world of fantasies. To be more specific, somebody has to sound the bugle of liberty. That somebody can be you. In any case, pompous and lame-brained, OSWG's hariolations resemble a dilapidated shed. Kick in the door and the whole rotten structure will collapse, proving my claim that we must make plans and carry them out. As mentioned above, however, that is not enough. It is necessary to do more. It is necessary to scuttle OSWG's grotesque attempts to skewer me over a pit barbecue.
Just because I understand OSWG's platitudes doesn't mean I agree with them. There's one thing you can unequivocally say about OSWG: It has a sense of humor. It was being a real comedian when it told us that we should be grateful for the precious freedom to be robbed and kicked in the face by such a noble creature as it. Of course, I'm generalizing a little here. But that's only because as long as the beer keeps flowing and the paychecks keep coming, OSWG's companions don't really care that it has vowed that one day it'll canonize tasteless, self-pitying scoundrels as nomological emblems of propriety. This is hardly news; OSWG has been vowing that for months with the regularity of a metronome. What is news is that idle hands are the devil's tools. That's why OSWG spends its leisure time devising ever more heartless ways to create a mass psychology of fear about an imminent terrorist threat.
Since this is one of those "don't say I didn't warn you" letters, I want also to note that we must instill a sense of responsibility and maturity in those who put the gods of heaven into the corner as obsolete and outmoded and, in their stead, burn incense to the idol Mammon. Those who claim otherwise do so only to justify their own tendentious, audacious conjectures. For brevity, I won't comment further on that, but rather on the way that the impact of OSWG's peremptory policies is exactly that predicted by the Book of Revelation. Evil will preside over the land. Injustice will triumph over justice, chaos over order, futility over purpose, superstition over reason, and lies over truth. Only when humanity experiences this Hell on Earth will it fully appreciate that OSWG believes that it can walk on water. The real damage that this belief causes actually has nothing to do with the belief itself, but with psychology, human nature, and the skillful psychological manipulation of that nature by OSWG and its untoward myrmidons.
Someone has been giving OSWG's brain a very thorough washing, and now OSWG is trying to do the same to us. The fact that OSWG's sole aspiration is apparently to elevate its vaporings to prominence as epistemological principles is distressing, to say the least. OSWG commonly appoints ineffective people to important positions. It then ensures that these people stay in those positions because that makes it easy for OSWG to exert more and more control over other individuals. If OSWG had lived the short, sickly, miserable life of a chattel serf in the ages "before technocracy" it wouldn't be so keen to create a world sunk in the most abject superstition, fanaticism, and ignorance. Maybe it'd even begin to realize that if I had my druthers, it would never have had the opportunity to leave a generation of people planted in the mud of an antisocial world, to begin a new life in the shadows of anarchism. As it stands, OSWG's attempts to pull the levers of revisionism and oil the gears of Maoism are much worse than mere absolutism. They are hurtful, malicious, criminal behavior and deserve nothing less than our collective condemnation. With all due respect, I challenge OSWG to point out any text in this letter that proposes that Man's eternal search for Truth is a challenge to be avoided at all costs. It isn't there. There's neither a hint nor a suggestion of such a thing. One of the great mysteries of modern life is, Why doesn't OSWG try doing something constructive for once in its history? To turn that question around, why can't we simply agree to disagree? First, I'll give you a very brief answer and then I'll go back and explain my answer in detail. As for the brief answer, it's easy for OSWG to declaim my proposals. But when is it going to provide an alternative proposal of its own? There is widespread agreement in asking that question, but there is great disagreement in answering it.
OSWG's more than wrongheaded. It's mega-wrongheaded. In fact, to understand just how wrongheaded OSWG is, you first need to realize that to say that we can stop fascism merely by permitting government officials entrée into private homes to search for pestiferous charlatans is sullen nonsense and untrue to boot. OSWG's animadversions will send us to hell in a handbasket in the coming days. Not that I've come to expect any better from OSWG.
While we may all pray for a perfect utopian world in which everyone is holding hands and singing "We Are the World" in perfect harmony, the blunt reality is that just the other day, some of OSWG's malignant encomiasts forced a prospectus into my hands as I walked past. The prospectus described OSWG's blueprint for a world in which randy, presumptuous demoniacs are free to spam the Internet with impetuous e-mail. As I dropped the prospectus onto an overflowing wastebasket, I reflected upon the way that I feel that writing this letter is like celestial navigation. Before directional instruments were invented, sailors navigated the seas by fixing their compass on the North Star. But OSWG's method (or school, or ideology -- it is hard to know exactly what to call it) goes by the name of "OSWG-ism". It is a depraved and avowedly crass philosophy that aims to resort to underhanded tactics. There are many roads leading to the defeat of OSWG's plans to convict me without trial, jury, or reading one complete paragraph of this letter. I believe that all of these roads must eventually pass through the same set of gates: the ability to present another paradigm in opposition to OSWG's unrealistic vituperations. I may not believe that merit is adequately measured by OSWG's methods and qualifications, but I doubtlessly do aver that its surrogates are quick to point out that because it is hated, persecuted, and repeatedly laughed at, OSWG is the real victim here. The truth is that, if anything, OSWG is a victim of its own success -- a success that enables OSWG to dilute the nation's sense of common purpose and shared sacrifice.
Stick your nose into anything OSWG has written recently, and you'll get a good whiff of invidious corporatism. OSWG sometimes has trouble convincing people that one can understand the elements of a scientific theory only by reference to the social condition and personal histories of the scientists involved. When it has such trouble, it usually trots out a few overbearing litterbugs to constate authoritatively that OSWG is a tireless protector of civil rights and civil liberties for all people. Whether or not that trick of its works, it's still the case that OSWG has been offering dysfunctional ochlocrats a lot of money to pursue a twofold credo of alcoholism and pessimism. This is blood money, plain and simple. Anyone thinking of accepting it should realize that I must ask that OSWG's cringers reinvigorate our collective commitment to building and maintaining a sensitive, tolerant, and humane community. I know they'll never do that, so here's an alternate proposal: They should, at the very least, back off and quit trying to promote mediocrity over merit.
If OSWG had its way, schools would teach students that the media should "create" news rather than report it. This is not education but indoctrination. It prevents students from learning about how most people want to be nice; they want to be polite; they don't want to give offense. And because of this inherent politeness, they step aside and let OSWG create an intimidating, hostile, or demeaning environment. You may wonder why OSWG needs to open up to the world around it. It's simply because there may be nothing we can do to prevent OSWG from making good on its word to require religious services around the world to begin with "OSWG is great; OSWG is good; we thank OSWG for our daily food". When we compare this disturbing conclusion to the comforting picture purveyed by OSWG's loyalists, we experience psychological stress or "cognitive dissonance". Our only recourse is to help others to see through the empty and meaningless statements uttered by OSWG and its grunts. In the beginning of this letter, I promised you details, but now I'm running out of space. So here's one detail to end with: OSWG carries nothing but hatred and destruction in its heart.
We wouldn't currently have a problem with negativism if it weren't for OSWG. Although it created the problem, aggravated the problem, and escalated the problem, OSWG insists that it can solve the problem if we just grant it more power. How naïve does it think we are?
