The Word/Void Trilogy by Terry Brooks is rather good. You'll read them fast, they're just that good. I'd give a brief summary, but I'm not good at that sort of thing. And, if you haven't read it, The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury is interesting. Just some well connected short stories about man settling on Mars. Hope I was of some help.

Right now I have to find a book by an american author. Any specific book by any specific author? Of any specific genre?

The stand is about humanities last stand after a huge plague, with 2 factions. The good guys, who have no weapons and are lead by a old black women. And the "normals" the evil people who are preparing for war "just incase" who are led by Randell Flag, a demon of sorts.

Star Wars: Republic Commando - Triple Zero and Hard Contact. I have the two in one book, it's about 600 pages. By a British author.
About- Triple Zero is about a group of 4 Commandos (Commandos are Spec-Ops clone troopers) Who land on this planet to find and capture a Separitist Scientist who is making a virus that will kill clone troops. They meet up with a Jedi Padawan and have to help her rescue her master and stop the Scientist. I'm about halfway through it and so it's good. I forget what Hard Contact is about.

Star Wars: Republic Commando is a great game. I like it as much as Battle Front 2
For those that have Xbox I've found a glitch in Battle Front 2. If you go into a single player game and enter infinite ammo and invicinbility then quit it and go to splitscreen. The cheats will still be active. When you fire your gun your ammo decreases but will go back to full after you reload. Falling into pits and off bridges still kill you except on Mustafar. You can fall from a high place and land somewhere and you won't get hurt. Makes killing Jedi Heroes really easy.
