//~~(THE ROUGE MAGICIAN)~~\\
The small back alley was full of various people as if they were moths drawn to a bright light. There must have been a least thirty of them crammed inside of the narrow alley and they were all looking at the same thing with amazement. They were looking at a tall brown haired magician performing what seemed to be common fake magic tricks except for the fact that they seemed so fluid and natural, almost hypnotizing. “Do you believe in magic?” asked the lone magician as two stones slowly orbited his pale bony hands. Audience did not reply directly but they murmured amongst themselves as they discussed their thoughts on the subject.
After hearing various forms of saying “no” in the in the crowd The magician said in a firm voice, “Well you should believe in it because magic is very real.” Suddenly the two stone shot out from their orbit around his hand and into the crowd. The magician raised his open palm and the stones suddenly stopped and started to weave their way in between legs and around heads. Some of the crowd gasped as the small stones navigated through the crowd.
“Of course not all magicians are what they claim to be, hell most of them are con-men trying to make a small profit off of the stupidity and kindness of the common man and the others are usually just people that want to put on a good show,” said the magician as his black jacket suddenly vanished right off of his back.
“How do we know that you aren’t one of those con-men that you were talking about,” yelled a tall man towards the back of the crowd.
“Well I am not one of those con-men for two reason my friend. For one, I am not charging anything for this show, so tell me this, what would I gain by lying to you? Second, you will soon see that I a no normal street magician as my show progresses,” yelled the magician as the sun started to set and the alley grew dark. “Looks like this alley could use some light,” said the magician in a jolly voice. He raised his and two orbs of swirling light burst forth and rose above the crowd, illuminating the whole alley. After that about half the crowd started clapping and the other half just stood, paralyzed with amazement.
“Don’t start clapping yet, the show has just begun,” yelled the magician, his voice barely louder that the clapping. It took several minutes for the clapping to die down to let the magician continue with his act. “Now, I will need a volunteer,” almost instantly several hands shot up to answer the request. At random, the magician picked one of the raised hands and said, “You over there, come on up here.” The chosen hand fell back into the sea of faces and a few seconds later a medium sized teenager emerged from the crowd. “Sooo, what exactly do you need me to do?” asked the boy as he walked over to the magician. “All you need to do is answer this single question, what is your favorite animal?”
“That’s it? I was expecting something cool,” said the teenager in a sarcastic voice.
“Trust me, if you answer the question and something exciting will happen,” Said the magician with a slight hint of annoyance on his voice.
“Okay, I guess I will play along with your little game. I will have to say, Lions.”
“Why am I not surprised? Don’t you have even a slight amount of unique thoughts in that tiny brain of yours? Oh well, I need to get on with the act,” said the magician will a small grin on his face. A few seconds later the grin left the magician’s face and he rose his left hand as he mumbled a few words under his breath. An instant later the teen was turned into a small lion cub with a large blinding flash. The audience started to clap immediately and a small pocket of people burst out laughing and they were obviously the sarcastic teen’s friends. After the clapping started to die down the magician rose his hand again and the lion cub returned to normal.
“We liked him better as the lion!” yelled a young woman with an unnerving amount of piercing throughout here whole body.
“Oh ha ha ha Sarah, very funny,” said the teen in an angry voice, trying to hide his complete humiliation.
