Anyone else with Live download this? It's amazingly awesome!
I went over to my friend Jon's house (His Gamertag is II Yusuke II) and while he was playing Star Craft I put my harddrive in his Xbox 360 (mine's being repaired currently) and decided to play some Mass Effect.
The Bring Down The Sky mission is intense and really fun. It's like one of the story planets, but only about an hour and a half long. After you've downloaded it and loaded one of your saves you don't get a journal update like you would in TES IV: Oblivion.
Instead when you go to the Galaxy Map while on the Normandy it'll show up as Asteroid X57 like the main quest galaxies when you've fully zoomed out.
The plot is very simple: Terrorists have taken over an asteroid that was to be moved somewhere else in the system so it has these three huge fusion torches to propel it through space.
But the main thing about the plot is the terrorists are Batarians and their sending the asteroid hurtling towards Terra Forma, one of humanity's first colonies.
The Batarians are a race of aliens that seceded from the Citadel because of events that take place in the book Mass Effect: Revelation the prequel to the game. It's a good book by the way. It's written by Drew Karpshyn the lead writer of Mass Effect.
Anyway, these Batarians are pissed off at Humanity and what better way than to slam a giant asteroid into a human populated planet?
As Shepard, it's up to you and your squad to head over to the asteroid and kick some ass.
The DLC consists of driving around in the Mako from torch to torch, taking out turrets surrounding them, and then entering the buildings to shut down the consoles after clearing the rooms of enemies.
This all leads up to the final battle with the Batarian boss which is pretty epic because of the battle right before you actually meet him and then the battle after.
When you beat the DLC you get a 50 point achievement, which I can't remember the name of. The DLC is only 400 points and totally worth buying.
