Sorry guys, but once your married and have kids, you'll notice that holidays are no longer considered free time, but are in fact the time you work the most. I'll try to get another update up soon though. Thanks for the compliments everyone.

Kevin feels exhausted... He's been running along this path struggling to even keep up with Mario. He quickly is becoming out of breath. "How, much... Farther..?" Mario however seems unaffected by the sprint. "Its just'a over the next hill." Kevin can't believe the out of shape looking plumber can be out performing him. "It feels... Like we've, been running... For miles." Mario looks back at Kevin, and slides to a stop. "I'm sorry Captain, I forgot'a your not from our world. Take'a minute and rest."
Kevin shakes his head, barely able to stand. "No... I..Can........ Keep going..." Mario walks towards him slowly. "You'll be no good'a to us if we get into a'battle and you pass out from exhaustion. Rest'a bit, I'm'a going to scout ahead. I'll return'a in a moment." Kevin agrees, but doesn't feel good about it. He slumps over slightly and watches as Mario takes off up the path. Kevin thinks about where he is, and what he has volunteered for. He sighs heavily leaning against a nearby tree. "Alot... of use... I am. Whew." Kevin still breaths heavily, trying to catch his breath. "I knew I should of... Stayed in track."
Kevin jumps as an arrow lands in the tree near inches from his head. He goes for his Zapper but fumbles as he tries to draw it. Kevin looks forward across the path and can see only a drawn back bow and the hands of the attacker hidden between two bushes, the rest is cloaked in shadow. The shadow speaks. "Don't do it."
Kevin ignores the warning and pulls the Zapper free from its holster, but it is quickly removed from his hand as another arrow flies through the Zappers finger guard, stripping it from Kevin's hand and pinning it to a tree several yards away. The Zapper spins around the arrow that holds it captive, until finally coming to rest. "Don't move. The first shots were a warning... I don't have to miss."
Kevin heeds this warning, lifting his hands in the air. The shadow slowly eases its way into the light. Kevin looks at the figure. He was about Kevin's height, dressed in green clothes. His brown hair hung slightly beneath his green hat. He didn't look all to different from Kevin, but he had pointed ears, and there was just something about his eyes... Kevin's eyes widen. "....Link?" Within a flash the elf had grabbed another arrow from his quiver and drew back his bow. "Who are you?.. And how do you know my name?"
Kevin's voice shakes slightly. "My... Names, Kevin... Kevin Keene." Link looks Kevin over and notices the N on his jacket. "Your... Captain N?" Kevin looks at the N as well. "Well... Yeah, I guess so." Link lowers his bow slowly, and places it along his back. "My apologies. I didn't realize... What are you doing out here alone? These can be dangerous roads."
"I'm not alone. Mario is with me... He just went ahead." Link lifts a brow. "I see... Then you are in good hands." Link turns and places two fingers to his mouth, whistling. Almost instantly a brown horse emerges from behind some trees and comes over to Link's side. Kevin walks over to his Zapper and pulls the arrow out of the tree. "Nice shot." Kevin takes the Zapper, and holsters it. Link grabs the horses reins and looks back at Kevin before mounting his horse. "Thanks... Had I been your enemy... You'd be dead."
Kevin thinks on those words for a moment, scratching his head. "Yeah... I'm still trying to get the hang of all this." Link mounts his horse, and gets settled on the saddle. Kevin sees an opportunity. "Hey.. Were headed to Centra, its under attack." Link lowers his head slightly. "I know." Kevin pauses a moment, then continues. "Do you think you could come with us? We could really use your help." Link sighs and turns to look at Kevin. "I wish I could, but I've been told that Ganon is heading back to Hyrule. I must return and get the princess to safety."
Kevin frowns slightly, disappointed. "... Zelda, I understand, and I wish you luck." Link's mouth curls upward almost turning into a smile. "And to you Kevin Keene. I feel our paths will cross again. God speed... Captain N." Link snaps the reins as his horse rears upwards, before hitting the ground running full speed. Kevin just stares as the cloud of dust it leaves behind slowly dissipates. "... Wow...Captain N..... That was, sooo cool."
"What was?" Kevin jumps, surprised again, as Mario has returned unnoticed. "Link was just here. The Legend of Zelda series has always been one of my favorites." Mario looks around. "Oh... Where'd he go?" Kevin stands straighter, his adrenaline still pumping from the recent encounter. "He was heading to Hyrule. Trouble with Ganon." Mario shakes his head. "He's not'a the only one having trouble. The battle is'a still being waged in Centra. We must'a make haste." Kevin nods. "I'm ready... You said its not far right?" Mario points down the path. "Yes, its'a just over..." Kevin interrupts the short plumber, a smile upon his face as he gets an Idea. "Then, hold on!"
Kevin grabs a hold of Mario's shirt sleeve, and hits the D-pad. In a flash Kevin and Mario find theirselves Zooming across the landscape. Past trees and then up over the hill. The green lights on the Power Pad begin to disappear, until half of them are gone, and the remaining lights are Orange.
