Garrett looked down from his position on the wall. The guard was milling about to long for Garrett's liking. The electric lights flickered lightly as the guard gave up and walked back down the street. Garrett climbed back down the wall and moved silently down the opposite end of the street.
A Hammerite looked into the darkness and thought of what could be there.
A Pagan Shaman looked down the street and noticed a dark shadowy figure moving.
A Town Watchman looked out the window of his office and saw a man in a dark cloak looking down thet street.

This city is full of corrupt guards, Religious Hammerites, Violent Pagans, and Vile undead. But there is only one Master Thief. Garrett is that thief. He isn't interested in what is happening to this city. He's only interested in what ever is valuable.
A dark figure ran down the semi-lit street. He clutched a bag of coins, which he had tryed to pickpocket. Obviously he wasn't as good as he thought he was. Two guards chased after the thief, a small distance separated the guards from their prey. The thief was running towards the docks, it was the easiest way to escape the Watch. A broad-head arrow flew straight into the would-be thief's fore-head causing him to fall forward, still in full run. The loud snap of his neck told the dismal tale, while the bag of gold flew off into the shadows.
A guard stepped on the broken shaft of the arrow as he stepped to check the body. "Where's the gold?" He asked his partner. "I don't know." He answered. A third guard walked towards them. "It went over there. Into the shadows." Was all the Bowman said as he walked back to his post.
Garrett was never one to leave a nice bag of gold, unprotected in the street. The guards could look all they wanted for it, but they'll never find it.

A red clothed Hammerite lay in a pool of his own blood. Three more lay near by. They had died fighting their enemy, the Pagans. Six Pagans lay dead. Easily out matched by the Hammerite's War-hammers. The remaining seven Hammers picked up their dead and left the Pagans bodies to rot were they lay.
The Pagans had just forced the Hammers away when ten more of the blood red clothed men had charged them. The Pagans were defeated once again.
The City Watch looked at the Pagans dead bodies with hatred. "Damn Pagans! They just stink up the streets with their "vegetation" and.... uh whatever else they gots." A guard said scorn fully. "Tis a sorrowful sight to see to see thy enemy in the streets." A Hammer replied.

Just another night on the watch patrol. Pagans jump the Hammerites and the Pagans kill the Hammers. Then the Hammers come back and kill the Pagans. Always back and forth. But sometimes the Hammerites get the jump on the Pagans. That's how the Pagans lose their territory. Stupid Pagans. I could kill them.
Aluster closed his Journal and walked out of his office. He sighed as he saw the same semi-lit streets he patrolled. Always the same. Just like the Pagans. He picked up his sword and walked along the street. Maybe tonight I'll see something intresting..... maybe. His thoughts wandered as his boots beat a drone on the pavement. He read a sign reading "Fort Ironwood". Hammerites lived and worshiped the Builder there. Three Hammers had been standing there last night looking worried. Not tonight though. "Hey Hammer."He called to a nearby Hammerite. "What happened last night?" "T'was a zombie infestation in the graveyard. T'was only a Pagan trick." The War-hammer carrying guard said. Yep. Glad nothin' happens on my watch. Really glad.
Man I love making this story.
