"It's a cold night, tonight." A guard muttered as he stared at the Lion's Head Torch. He sighed and stretched, closing his eyes for a moment. He opened them and looked at the doused light. "Is that normal?" He muttered, again, to himself. He didn't notice a door open above the torch, nor did he spot the thief sneak in seconds later. Garrett snuck down the well light corridor and found himself in the Guard's Barracks. Great. He thought to himself. He wandered to the other side and found a sleeping guard. Well, well. Best security in the world. Atleast for me. He thought. He walked out and down a corridor and found himself in a dimly light room. Complete with idiot guard carrying torch. Garrett easily snuck around the guard and went down some more unimpressive halls untill he found in a room with paitings. None were any value so he dismissed them and focused on the servant looking at the paintings. [Nothings ever easy for the Thief.[/i]

Garrett looked at a guard who seemed to be trying to figure out a problem. Did he lose his beer money? He thought as he watched the guards behavior. The guard kept looking at a statue and never moved. Garrett pulled out his bow and notched a green tiped arrow. He fired and almost laughed as the green gas surrounded the guards head. Garrett walked over and dragged the guards body over into the barracks. He walked past the statue, stopped and took a gold ring off it's finger. "Mine now." He muttered.
Garrett shook the cobwebs off his body as he looked at Mortimer. It was a nice painting, and was probably worth two hundred gold. Like anyone was going to stop him from taking it with him.
Nice small update. For the few people smart enough to know how top read this.

Phew, took a while for me to get caught up. I actually like how you write a lot of smaller posts than several huge ones. Easier to read and keeps the story fast-paced. Very good, bye the way, I did not expect the thief to be so...violent if you will. Anyway, I'll be reading this from now on.

Meh, Garrett can be violent if he wants. I did that part to show that. From then on it should mainly be traps and stuff.

"I have a strange feeling of deja vu....." A guard thought as he paced his rounds. He stopped as he noticed a green ball. The guard walked over and picked it up, he sniffed it to see if it was edible. It smelled like metal. He looked around to see if anyone was looking, no one was. His brain obviously had never fully developed because one should never bite something that smells like metal. He tried to bite it anyway. "Oww." The guard said as he nursed his smarting teeth. He gently put it on the ground and crushed it under his heavy boot. "Hmm what's that smell?" He asked as he smelled the air. THUNK! Maybe they really don't have any brains. Garrett thought as nhe snuck past.
