This is considered one of the greatest poems of the twentieth century:
The Red Wheelbarrow
so much depends upon
a red wheel barrow
glazed with rain water
beside the white chickens.
-- William Carlos Williams
I don't get poetry, but that made me laugh.

*shrugs* People will over analyze it. I just find the brupt mention of chickens very funny. I've got a weird sense of humor. >_>

so do I but I had to do an thing in school about that. We had to analyze the meaning of that poem and we all just got lazy and settled on it meaning the american flag.

Make way, for the dawn is breaking, and a new era draws closer. None shall run, only harm to them will come. Bear the words of destruction, all will hear. Oblivious glory is now certain and clear, for the resistors doom is in the making, The time grows nigh, and the hour late. But not even the wisest can escape there fate. All shall unite, for this glorious fight, a fight to the last demon, or to last man, into the night. Make love to your wives, and say good bye to your youngling, for tommorow, we ride! The sky turns red, lightning, thunder, all will dread. Only one can save us from this doom, a champion, a hero, a savior. Lead us! Oh great hero! We will die with you, nothing less! Call him by name, and throw him your flowers, as he rides magnificantly, down the cobble streets. Some question, "can he save us from this doom?" The answer will come, only in time, time is the essence. " Ride hero! Ride into battle!" save these people, bring them Hope, in this hour of darkness, for oblivion grows closer, the oblivion, of us all.... ________________________________________________________________
This it the official Oblivion poem. Cant thin of much mo, so this thread is dead.
