Guys, it's updated. Read it again and vote. I like to take my time when I eat. Maccaroni and hotpockets are awesome. I was watching scrubs and had to walk my dog too.

Glad to see this is still an ongoing story. I'm not quite caught up yet but I read the last update just so I could vote.
A... There might be resistance, but destroying the control center will make things easier disabling all the droids.

Ok, Choice A has won.
The travel ship flew over the high walls of Hanokia City. Droids walked along the ramparts, observing the ship as it hovered over a landing pad and began its descent. The ship's wings folded up and landing skits extened to the ground. They absorbed the shock as the massive ship touched down.
Co-Pilot Ank Senari looked out his viewscreen at the control tower across the landing pad. He could just barely make out the shapes of droids behind the windows.
"Travel ship number zero-nine-four landed and ready for unloading," he said into the radio.
The metallic voice of a droid answered him. "Acknowledged, please wait."
Inside the control tower Sergeant Deroza Quek told the droid to cut the communication. He turned to address the battle droids in the control room. The Trandoshan mercenary disliked droids personally, but didn't have a relatively good choice in this mission. His superiors gave him a choice; take an army of battle droids, or go alone. Deroza chose wisely and decided to take the droids.
He gripped his Spiker Rifle tightly in his gloved hands. The Trandoshan mercenary was tall, like most of his people, and wore the traditional red and black battle armor. Strapped to his back was his custom designed Zankar Sniper Rifle. The five-round clip currently in the gun was loaded with explosive armor piercing crystal bullets that could penetrate a clone soldier's armor with ease. His Spiker rifle was a rapid-fire weapon that fired shards of metal at high velocities. A concentrated amount of fire could reduce an enemy to shreds whether they were machine or organic.
"Listen up bucketheads," said Deroza in his native tongue. The droids understood him because of the thousands of sentient languages that were part of their programming. "There are Republic troops on that ship. I don't know how many, so I'm sending squads two and three inside. Squad one you'll wait outside by the loading ramp. Squad four get on the scaffolding and take sniping positions."
Deroza looked at the droids and smiled behind his death mask. "Maybe these pieces of scrap would come in handy after all," he whispered to himself. "Now move out."
The droids did what appeared to be a salute and marched out to perform their duty. Deroza turned around and took a seat in front of the anti-aircraft cannon controls. The AA gun was on top of the tower pointing directly at the bridge of the ship. The mercenary powered up the mighty, twin-barreled gun. The image of the travel ship appeared on a display panel with crosshairs shining red. Deroza positioned them over the bridge. The cannon up topped jerked upwards with sudden motion, aiming its flak barrels straight for the travel ship's bridge.
"Captain, I think we have a problem," said Co-Pilot Ank. The ship's captain had just returned with a cup of hotcaf when the younger man spoke.
"What is it?" asked Captain Vemb. He sipped his caf as he took his seat. Ank pointed at the AA gun mounted on top of the control tower with a shaky finger.
"The gun's online sir. It moved a minute ago."
"Travel ship to Control, this is Captain Vemb. What the hell is going on?" All the captain recieved was a burst of static and then a loud laugh.
Deroza pulled the trigger on the AA guns control stick and a flak missile lanced out of one of the gun's barrels and impacted against the bridge of the ship, sending shards of burning metal flying through the interior and causing miniature explosions as the bridge's machinery exploded. Another missile followed and the remains of the bridge broke off the ship and fell to the duracrete landing pad where it continued to burn.
Only hours before Deroza had recieved a message from his superior stating that the incoming travel ship was containing Republic Troops. The sergeant and his new droid army were dispatched from the Confederate base and sent to take over the city. They conquered the city with lttle resistance. Laspistols and lasrifles being used by untrained farmers were no match for an army of combat programmed battle droids.
Barricades were set up at every single exit and droids were sent on overlapping patrol laps. All that remained to do was disable the travel ship, find the Republic troops, and neutralize them efficiently. Deroza had disabled the ship already and his droids were entering the ship. Outside the landing pad's walls waited another squad of battle droids along with a nasty surprise composed of two super battle droids.
Farther back in the ship the Republic Commandos felt the ship shake as the missiles detonated. They grabbed their gear and prepared to move, but stopped when they heard metal feet walk by and then stop at their door.
"Open up," said a metallic voice. Zeus replied with a burst of fire from his DC-17. The door splintered under the impact of the laser rounds and the droid on the other side slumped to the floor with its chest a smoking ruin. Two more droids stepped into the door way, but were cut down as Zeus fired the remainder of his clip. He ejected it and reloaded with a fresh one. Miner and Joka were unarmored and without weapons. Gear was already wearing his helmet and had his deece in his hands. ("Deece" is the slang term for the DC-17)
"Gear, give your pistol to Miner. Joka take mine," said Zeus. The armored commandos hand over their DC-15s to their brothers. Miner and Joka clicked the safeties off and looked to Zeus for orders.
"Our first stop," the squad leader continued. "Will be the cargo bay where your gear is. Let's go." The commandos exited the room into the cramp hallways of the ship. Zeus led with Miner and Joka in them middle with Gear guarding the rear. Progress was slow as the commandos moved through the ship, stepping over civilian corpses and other droids. Apparently the droids were killing anything that moved.
After ten minutes of walking, shooting down a squad of battle droids, and then a quick sprint the commandos were at the door to the cargo bay. Judging from the bodies laying near the door, Zeus knew the droids had entered the ship through there. He motioned for his men to take cover and for Gear to open the door. Miner and Joka ducked behind the corner while Gear sliced the door. Zeus waited on the opposite side with a frag in hand.
The doors parted, Zeus tossed his frag, waited a few seconds for the inevitable explosion, and peered in to mop up the survivors. The droids were standing in formation when the doors parted and the three in front had been reduced to slag from the grenade. However, the three in the back were still alive. One was unlucky enough to have his entire lower body blown off and was on the floor trying to raise his gun.
Zeus didn't give him a chance to pull the trigger. He put five rounds from his deece into the droid's head, shearing it off. Gear fired his gun at the other two and smiled as he hit a grenade one carried and both disappeared in a cloud of smoke and fire. Miner and Joka stepped into the room, saw the mess, and nodded to their brothers. They then jogged to the crate that contained their gear, giving the Renofer snake a wide berth this time, and unlocked it. Moments later the two commandos reappeared wearing their armor and carry their weapons. They handed there acquired pistols back to the others.
"What now?" asked Joka.
"What else, we get the hell out of here," replied Zeus. The commandos sprinted for the exit ramp and saw that it was open. Gear took two steps before being hit in the chest by a sniper round. The blow depleted his armor's shields and knocked him on his back.
"Sniper!" yelled Miner as he ran to Gear and dragged him back. He looked where the blast had hit and was relieved to only see a scorch mark. Gear's shields recharged seconds later and he got back to his feet.
"Well this is FUBAR," said Joka.
"No it's not, soldier," said Zeus. "Miner, think you can nail that sniper with your bowcaster?"
"Yeah, but I'll need covering fire while it charges," said Miner.
"Understood. Joka since you are the fastest I want you to run for that piece of cover over there to draw the sniper's attention." Zeus pointed to a large slab of duracrete a couple of meters away from the exit ramp.
"Why me?" asked Joka.
"Just do it, dammit."
"Yes, sir," said Joka. He breathed in and prepared to risk his neck once again. He looked straight at his destination and took off running at full speed. The commando ducked as laser fire streaked in from his left and slid into the slab as the sniper fired again.
"Joka, I need you to fire at the sniper to pin him down. Gear and I will cover your side," said Zeus into his commlink. He and Gear moved up to the edge of the ramp and crouched down to fire at the droids on Joka's left. Blue laser fire shot from their guns and cut the droids down one by one. Then the droids got smart and decided to take cover. Zeus tossed a flash grenade to scramble the droids' sensors followed by a frag that decimated the remaining.
Joka peered around the corner and looked up the scaffolding the sniper was standing on. But, there wasn't just one sniper up there. Four battle droids equipped with sniper rifles saw the commando peer his head around and all opened fire. Joka pulled his head back before the enemy shots could splatter his brains on the landing pad.
"Shit! There's four of 'em up there Miner," he said into his comm.
"Gotcha," said Miner. His bowcaster, now fully charged, appeared around the corner of the landing ramp with his finger on the trigger. Miner looked into the scope and aimed for the droid in the middle. Once released, the energized bolt would punch itself into the droind and explode in a ball of green flame that would hopefully take out the other three. And that was exactly what happened. Miner let go of the trigger, the bolt fired and hit its mark. A moment later the droid exploded, taking its comrades with it.
"Clear," said Miner as he moved up to join with Joka behind the Duracrete slab. Zeus and Gear were hidden behind a baggage cart meters away.
In the control tower Deroza Quek saw the fight begin and end within a handful of minutes. He cursed his luck and tried to move the AA cannon so if faced the hunkered down commandos, but the weapon wasn't in a position to move that far. So the mercenary told the droids waiting on the bottom floor of the tower to move in for the kill. He stepped outside onto the scaffolding around the tower and crouched behind a low wall as he unslung his Ankar sniper rifle.
The doors parted and a group of ten battle droids stepped out. The war machines opened fire with their guns, hosing the cover the commandos hid behind with laser fire.
"Any one have a plan?" asked Joka.
"Well we can make a run for it," said Gear. "Or we fight back against them."

Uh, Raistlin I've been writing a crapload. I updated Death's Workshop a while back, and already have 2 posts in Seas of Gold and Rivers of Blood and my Gears of War fanfic
Choice A has obviously won with an astonishing 4 votes
Gear caught a grenade that a droid had thrown and held it in his hands, counting the seconds until it exploded. The commando counted the seconds in his head and then threw it at the nearest droid. A split second later the grenade detonated, destroying threee droids with a spray of shrapnel.
"How do you do that?" asked Zeus. Gear shrugged and blindfired with his DC-17, scoring a hit on the nearest droid. Its firing arm was blown off, but the machine continued to walk towards the commandos. Then Zeus saw a grenade clutched in the droid's other arm.
"Fall back!" he shouted as the droid neared closer. Gear turned to run after his sergeant just as the suicidal droid's grenade exploded. The baggage cart Gear and Zeus were behind moments earlier exploded in a ball of flame, sending cargo everywhere. The blast knocked Gear off his feet and sent him sliding across the ground.
Deroza saw the downed commando and opened fire with his sniper rifle. He was a deadeye shot and the three rounds he fired all hit. Smiling to himself, Deroza moved to another piece of cover.
Gear tried to push himself to his knees to run away. Right when he was up, two enemy bullets punched into his right leg and one grazed his shoulder. He fell clutching his leg as blood spurted from the wounds. Zeus turned around to grab him. As the sergeant dragged Gear to the other commandos' location he fired his DC-17 one-handed at the opposition. One more droid fell to the ground with its head a mess of laser burns and holes.
Miner moved up to help drag Gear behind the slab of duracrete he and Joka were using for cover. The droids, seeing the republic troopers on the run, picked up their pace while still firing. Joka looked over the slab and fired his deece on full auto, spraying the whole line of droids with laser fire. More fell and he ducked behind cover again as the rest shot at him.
"Fierfek," mumbled Gear. "This definitely isn't my lucky day."
"Joka, push those mechanical bastards back while I help Gear," Zeus ordered. "Miner, look for that damn sniper." The commandos nodded. Joka threw two frag grenades over the cover and counted to five. The grenades detonated, Joka stood up firing his DC-17 and took down the last droids. Zeus removed a med pack from his kit on his back and open the plastic case.
The commando removed a surgical needle filled with pain killer from the kit and proceeded to remove Gear's armor plates. After removing the plates over the wounds, Zeus injected the pain killer into a blood vessel. Gear felt the pain numb away seconds later as the medicine traveled through his bloodstream. The segeant put the needle back in the medical case and pulled out a pair of tweezers.
"This may hurt a little," he said as he stuck the tweezers into the wounds to remove the bloody bullets. Zeus tossed them away, injected some bacta healing cells into the wounds, and wrapped the wounds in bandages. Gear replaced his armor plates himself.
Up above, behind a metal wall hid Deroza. The trandoshan had failed to permanently cripple the commando. He was angry, but anger was good. Anger would keep him focused on the enemy. He already reloaded his sniper rifle, knowing that a clip with two rounds left wouldn't do much good against a group of four heavily armed enemies.
The trandoshan looked around the side of the wall at the commandos. He could see one of them trying to help the one he had injured. Then out of no where a metal bolt thudded into his chest plate, knocking him off balance. The mercenary looked down at the green glowing bolt stuck to him. Then he remembered his time on Kasshyyk where he hunted wookiees. The images of the savage beasts and their weapons flashed through his mind. He remembered what kind of weapon had just been used against him. His guts twisted in shock.
Deroza dropped his sniper rifle and gripped the bolt with both of his hands. With all his strength he slowly managed to pull the bolt outwards, but it got caught on something.
"Nooooo!" screamed Deroza. The bolt detonated, enveloping the trandoshan mercenary in a ball of flame.
The squad of battle droids waiting outside the landing pad walls blew the door open, with the help of the super battle droids' wrist launchers, and stormed in.
"Can't we get a break!" shouted Joka as he got up to fire at the new enemy. Gear pulled him down before the droids could turn him into sizzled meat.
"Gear are you able to walk?" asked Zeus.
Gear nodded. "Ready to go when you are, sir."
"Alright, well we have two choices. Either we run for the control tower to hold a more fortified position. Or we stay here and use our heavy weapons."
Zeus looked at his men through his helmet and knew behind the mirrored visors of his squads' they contemplated what to do. They could be easily overrun by staying there, but they could also get hit by enemy fire if they dashed into the control tower.
Choices A- Run for the Tower B- Hold position
