First off, a list of things they missed. - The visit to teirm
- Jeod! How could they miss Jeod?!
- Roran is eragons biological clone. -_-
- Arya, 'Black, Raven like hair', yet in the movie, she had red hair.
- The training with brom and eragon on the roads.
- Yazuac.
- Arya is conciouncess for the whole trip to the beors.
- No hadarac desert? wtf...
- Angela and the werecat, gone.
- Nasuada looks like she is 60.
- They rushed through things way too fast.
- Saphira grows 3 times larger in one flight...
- Eragon doesn't get his legs scraped.
- And much much more!
If your going to 'learn' of the eragon story, then read the book, for the love of god...

Movies are the rape of literate world.

That reminds me of a quote from Matt Groening's "Life in Hell" comic strip.
It was a test to see if you qualify to become a film critic:
"Are you willing to write a detailed and intelligent synopsis on a movie aimed at subliterate teens?"
Something to that effect.

Eragon was a decent book but was pretty cliche, but that damn movie makes it look like a creative masterpiece.

I haven't seen the movie yet. but I ordered it. It looks kinda cheesy in the commercials.. like one of those sci fi made for tv movies, but with only just slightly better effects.

Well how would you all rate the movie... If you hadn't read the book that is, to see all its short comings? just curious.

out of 10...4/10, 3 of those were earned from the good graphics. the other 1 was because they faintly followed the storyline. Im considering sending hate-mail to the script-writers.

Movie 0/10.
It's based off of a great book, and they didn't use it as a screenplay. They missed the whole point.
Books:
9/10. Nuff said.

For me the book was a 7/10, I loved reading it but wasn't up there with good fantasy and sci-fi books.
