Well this is another of the intros I'm writing. I've got one more till I have you vote. Tell me what you think.
Derrick woke to a beautiful Sunday morning. He climbed out of bed and went to the bathroom. Grabbing the comb he unraveled the mess of black hair laying on his head and brushed his purely white teeth.
Derrick was a normal sixteen year old boy, well mostly normal if not for an overly healthy sense of sarcasm and a cynical outlook only suited for the elderly.
He walked down the stairs two steps at a time ignoring the creaking noise made by falling on them. Coming down to the kitchen he could smell the warm embrace of breakfast, he could tell it was eggs and bacon.
Mmm my favorite breakfast meal. He thought cheerfully to himself.
“Hey Derrick don’t forget you’ve got a doctors appointment today.” Came his Mom from the table.
“Dammit! Didn’t I just have one like a week or two ago?” He snapped in reply.
“Well the doctor said you needed another check-up so you’re going!” She said, and Derrick knew the discussion was over. His mom never talked to him about these strange doctors visits but he knew in his heart that something was up. He kept getting strange headaches and was getting tired too quickly lately. But that still didn’t mean he wanted to go to there again. All his appointments lasted far too long and they did crazy experiments on him. Tho his parents still said, to his increasing contempt, “every things fine” or his favorite “its just a normal check-up”.
“Don’t forget what the Doctor told you last time. It would be for the best to take a nap before the check-up. So come on go up stairs and sleep.” She ordered
“But mom!” He protested, but before he could say any more his mother gave him one of her looks that meant he better not argue any more, and concluded it was best to listen to his mother and retreat back to his room were he climbed back into bed and to his surprise fell asleep instantly.
His eyes opened to a majestic world he’d never seen before. It was strangely vivid and in his mind he couldn’t comprehend it coming out of his imagination.
“Well hello there. Hey are you a human?
